Brain freeze and chest freeze
WebMy understanding is there’s a artery that runs at the top of your mouth that helps feed blood to the brain. When your mouth gets really cold (from ice cream) the blood in that artery cools off on its way to your brain. A brain freeze is basically that cold blood hitting your brain. For whatever reason that cold blood causes pain.
