If you're using an aftermarket stator cover such as Woodcraft it may require a different internal bolt supplied with it due to clearance issues.

Make sure your meter is set at the 2K setting. Brown to Green wire should read 275 ohms (source coil) Red to White wire should read 325-350 ohms (pick up coil) WebJan 14, 2024 · The fix is to replace the rotor bolt when replacing the stator. The Kawasaki part number is 92154 and has a hole down the center to allow for oil flow. The old part, 92153, ran $4.20 or so. The new part now runs $35.00 and has been proven to fix the issue. Kawasaki apparently sees the profit potential here and priced the bolt appropriately. LOL!

Decreased and dried the area then hit it with baby powder to determine where the leak was coming from. The leak showed up coming from a cover bolt that just needed a re-torque, and problem solved. schaefer construction flWebOct 5, 2024 · Yeah, the stator cover has a thick o-ring seal on the backside where it goes over the nose of the starter motor to seal out water which makes it tough to pull the cover off. Squirt some penetrant or silicone behind it to help ease it off. It's much easier to reinstall the cover as the o-ring can be greased to make the job easier. defdes schaefer construction il
